Competition terms and conditions
- Entry to the competition is free and open to everyone.
- Entry into the competition is acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
- If you are under the age of 18 you must have permission to enter from your parent or guardian. By submitting an entry for the competition, your parent/carer/guardian is deemed to have given such consent and to agree to the use of the entry as described in these Terms and Conditions.
- Each entrant may enter up to a maximum of three images in the competition.
- Photographs must be in digital format only – no prints or slides will be accepted.
- Photographs must be in a landscape format (not portrait).
- Photographs must be JPEG or PNG files and be the best quality available. Each photograph must not exceed 4MB in size.
- Photographs must be free from text and photographer's watermarks.
- Photographs can only be entered online at North Devon Council’s website. Digital files should indicate title of image and photographer’s name.

- All photographs submitted must be the work of the individual who submits them.
- By submitting a photograph to this competition entrants agree that North Devon Council reserves the right to free reproduction and exhibition the photograph in all media to promote the council’s work. Photographers will be credited if a photograph is used. The copyright of photographs remains with the photographer.
- All photographs must be taken in the district of North Devon. Photographs of wildlife must be taken in the natural environment or in their natural habitat. Photographs of wildlife taken in captivity, domesticated or restrained in any way, will not be eligible, neither will photographs of species that have been artificially cultivated or reared.
- Photographs must not contain individuals who can be identified.
- AI created images are not allowed.
- Judges appointed by North Devon Council will choose the final four photographs.
- The winners' names will be published on our website, social media and through a press release.
- All photographs are sent at the photographer’s risk. North Devon Council regret that they cannot accept liability for any loss or damage of any photographs entered in the competition (howsoever caused) nor for any other loss or damage resulting therefrom.
- Winning photographs will be securely stored to replace any photographs that may possibly be damaged in the Customer Hub.
