North Devon Council is reminding residents that waste and recycling collection days will be temporarily adjusted over the Spring Bank Holiday.

There will be no collections on Monday 26 May 2025. Instead, all collections that week will take place one day later than usual, starting from Tuesday 27 May through to Saturday 31 May. Services will return to normal from Monday 2 June.

Councillor Julie Hunt, Lead Member for Waste and Recycling at North Devon Council, says: “Waste and recycling collections are always a day late following a bank holiday. If you’re in any doubt about when your collections will take place, please visit our website. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.”

Residents are being reminded to display their bins, bags and containers at the kerbside by 6am on the day or evening before their collection to avoid being missed.
