With the August Bank Holiday fast approaching, North Devon Council is advising residents that their usual waste and recycling collection days will be affected.

There will be no collections on Monday, 25 August. Collections will instead run one day later than normal, starting on Tuesday, 26 August and finishing on Saturday, 30 August. Regular schedules will return from Monday, 1 September.

Councillor Julie Hunt, Lead Member for Waste and Recycling, said: “We want to remind everyone that following a Bank Holiday, collections always take place a day later. We’re grateful for residents’ support and cooperation. Anyone who isn’t sure of their collection day can check easily online.

Residents are asked to ensure their bins and recycling are placed out for collection by 6am on the correct day, or the night before.

Information on what can be recycled and which items go in each container is available on the council’s website.
