With miles of footpaths and dog-friendly access to beachesattractions and a range of accommodation, North Devon really is a wonderful place for pets! 

With the South West Coast Path to explore, along with varied terrain and networks of footpaths across Exmoor, you can be sure of a lovely, fun walk, no matter your dog's breed or size.

Dog owners planning on a trip to North Devon will be pleased to find a wide range of dog friendly restaurants, cafes and accommodation on offer.

Many of the beaches across North Devon are dog-friendly – some have open access all year round, whilst others offer different zones in peak seasons, but all are clearly marked.

Most beaches in North Devon are privately owned and most also allow dogs between 1 October and 30 April.

Please remember that even on beaches where there are no dog restrictions, dogs should be kept in sight and under control at all times and owners are required to always clean up after them.
