Volunteering opportunities

1. The Friends of Hillsborough group meet on the third Wednesday of each month.

The group help clean up and maintain local nature reserve and scheduled monument Hillborough Hillfort in Ilfracombe.

If you're interested in joining the group and doing your part for the environment, please meet the group at the pitch and putting hut by Larkstone car park at 10am. Map - https://bit.ly/3LgttR2. Please note you must be aged 18 or over.

All tools including gloves will be provided but please bring a packed lunch and drinks if you plan on staying longer.

The Friends of Yeo Valley Community Woodland and Local Nature Reserve are appealing for new members to join them in their efforts to maintain the local woodland.

Parks events

Join our annual meadow-management day at Fremington!

We’re teaming up with Devon County Council and Home Farm Marsh Volunteers for a hands-on conservation day on Saturday 13 December, 10am–3pm.

 Meet at: Car park at the end of Fremington Quay

 What we’ll be doing: Helping manage the meadow banks to support the return of orchids and boost biodiversity along the Tarka Trail.
What to bring: Sturdy footwear, weather-appropriate clothing, strong gloves, plenty to drink, and a packed lunch.
