Winter Flourishing Culture grants

Find out more about our grant scheme offering up to £250 for winter pop-up events

Our Winter Flourishing Culture Grant provides grants for local groups, organisations and businesses to organise pop-up events, performances, projects and activities in North Devon, with the aim of creating fun and vibrant cultural experiences in your local communities during the winter season. This is made possible thanks to the Government's UK Shared Prosperity Fund.

Formally adopted and launched by North Devon and Torridge district councils in October 2022, the grants are part of the Flourishing Culture Strategy. The strategy sets out the value that culture brings to northern Devon, the aspiration for what it could be, and some suggested actions for raising the ambition, sustainability and impact of culture in all its forms across the region.

Grants of up to £250 are available. Projects should have a positive impact on the local community and aim to increase participation in cultural activity, helping make towns and villages a better place to live work and visit.

Events could include creative workshops and activities, performances, music events, wellbeing activities, hosting tours, walks and discovery trails, landscaping or creating art in neglected areas or making use of redundant buildings. Activities and events must take place in November or December 2025, or January 2026.

Grants will be awarded on a first come first served basis subject to approval. Applications will close on Friday 1 December 2025 or before, if the entire fund has been allocated.
