The Crematorium Memorial Gardens and grounds are pre-planted and maintained for the benefit of all. Your cooperation is requested in respecting the communal nature of the gardens. Please do not leave any artificial flowers, floral arrangements, plants, wreaths or mementoes in the grounds or in any of the buildings not designed for this purpose.
Fresh flowers and potted plants may be left in the flower room adjacent to the crematorium building. Please be aware that crematorium staff cannot maintain any flowers or plants left in the flower room, and they will be removed once they are past their best.
No flowers, plants or other mementoes may be left in the waiting room or the crematorium chapels.
A range of after-cremation memorials are provided by North Devon Crematorium. Memorials other than those provided by the crematorium are not permitted in the crematorium grounds or buildings. Garden memorials provide space for no more than two sets of ashes. Owners of leased memorials will be contacted at their last known address towards the end of the lease period with the option to renew the lease for a further term. If the lease is not renewed the memorial plaque will be removed from display and may be collected from the crematorium by the owner. If the plaque is not collected within 3 months it will be sensitively disposed of. Lease owners should ensure that any change in their contact details are communicated to the crematorium during the period of the lease.
North Devon Crematorium will endeavour to keep all memorial items in good condition, but cannot be held responsible for any theft, vandalism or damage however caused.
North Devon Crematorium retains the right to remove any unauthorised memorials, mementoes flowers or plants without giving notice.
