North Devon Council, in partnership with Devon County Council and Home Farm Marsh Volunteers, is inviting residents to take part in the annual meadow-management day at Fremington Cuttings on Saturday, 13 December, from 10am to 3pm.
North Devon Council is reminding residents to prepare for changes to waste and recycling collections over the festive period. Adjusted schedules will be in place from Wednesday 24 December through to Saturday 3 January, with normal services resuming on Monday 5 January 2026.
At Barnstaple Magistrates' Court on 17 December 2024, Daniel Ward, aged X, of no fixed abode, was found guilty of breaching a Community Protection Notice (CPN) issued by North Devon Council.
Expressions of interest are being invited by the Bridge Trust via North Devon Council's procurement portal for the refurbishment of the listed Bridge Chambers in Barnstaple, in a partnership project that is a major part of the Flourishing Barnstaple programme.
On 20 November 2024, North Devon Council adopted a No-Casino Resolution under Section 166 of the Gambling Act 2005. Whilst legislation currently precludes a casino application being granted in North Devon, this decision approved by Full Council, goes further in setting the council’s stance. No applications to open a new casino in North Devon will be considered or granted even if legislative amendments take effect.
