From Monday 3 August, North Devon Council will re-open its face-to-face service at Lynton House in Barnstaple for the first time since the Covid-19 pandemic.

Customer Services staff will be available Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, 9am-1pm, for the foreseeable future but residents are being urged to continue their transactions online or by telephone.

Leader of North Devon Council, Councillor David Worden says: “Our face-to-face staff at Lynton House do a fantastic job helping those who are unable to access our services online or over the phone, so we are delighted that we are able to see customers in person. However, the risk of contracting Coronavirus has not disappeared and our priority is to keep our residents and staff safe, so we urge customers to consider contacting us online or by telephone in the first instance and only come into Lynton House as a last resort.”

If residents are in need of face-to-face support they must follow government guidelines and wear a face covering and use the hand sanitiser provided.

To continue transactions online please visit www.northdevon.gov.uk or call our Customer Services team on 01271 327711.

The NDC face to face service at The Ilfracombe Centre will re-open on Monday 10 August on the same basis as Lynton House. More details will follow on this next week.
