If you have a property interest in any licensed premises within North Devon, you can give notice of this interest to the licensing authority. This may be because you are the freeholder, leaseholder, a legal mortgagee in respect of the premises or a person in occupation of the premises. 

Registration is optional and not a legal requirement.

Notice effect

The notice will have effect for 12 months, but a new notice can be given every year.

Whilst the notice has effect, if any changes relating to the premises concerned have been made to the licensing public register, we must notify you and others who have registered an interest of the change.

You will also be notified of your right to request a copy of the information contained in any entry in the register.

In cases relating to interim notices, we will ensure such communications are dealt with promptly.

Application timescale

We will acknowledge your notification within 10 working days of receipt. In the unlikely event you have not heard from us at the end of this time period, your notification is deemed complete and our records updated.
