Website improvements
The North Devon Council website has changed little since 2005. We still use the same basic design and use the same software to update content.
We are always looking to make improvements in how the website works, making it easier to access services and find information you need.
Planned changes for 2013:
- continual improvements to the Find your nearest tool: adding "how to use" videos and more datasets
- making it easier to find "top tasks" from the home page and other key web pages, including how to access services, pay bills and report issues: home page changed March 2013
- complete review of site navigation to improve customer journeys
- improvements to web forms so that they are more mobile friendly
- continual work to re-write content in plain English
- moving news and feature content to the Devon News Centre media site
Longer
term:
- consideration of complete site redesign
