On-street parking



Restricted parking areas (such as residents parking zones or yellow lines) are regulated by Devon County Council. Full information is available on Devon County Council's on-street parking pageexternal website.

North Devon Council was responsible for the enforcement and processing of on-street Penalty Charge Notices (PCNs) from 5 May 2008 to 31 March 2014. Any PCNs issued during this time will continue to be processed by North Devon Council.

From 1 April 2014, on-street parking returned to being Devon County Council's responsibility. Therefore, any PCNs with the prefix YD issued after this date will be processed by them. Their contact details are as follows:

Parking in restricted areas during works



Permission to park – known as a dispensation – can be granted where works are planned at premises adjacent to parking restrictions, in restricted zones or in residential parking zones.
