Batsworthy Cross update

Planners considering an application to build nine wind turbines near Knowstone, Devon, have asked N Power Renewables, who submitted the application, to provide an additional assessment of the impact the wind farm is likely to have on the environment.

This type of assessment is always needed whenever the Council is considering a large planning application.

Once the council has received the additional 'environmental impact assessment' from N-Power Renewables, along with other information and comments from all the consultees, it will begin a second round of public consultation. This will last for three weeks.

When the council held the original round of consultation in 2006 it received almost 500 different comments from the public.

Full details of this planning application (43272) can be viewed on the council’s planning application tracker.
