Rock Skate Park

The new Rock Skate Park was opened Sunday 26 April 2009.

The opening event was a great success, with literally hundreds of local skaters taking the opportunity to use the exciting new ramps, jumps and other skating challenges.

Following the opening there was an afternoon of entertainment, which included a team of professional skaters from the ‘Vans’ skateboard team performing a display.

The development of the skate park was led and largely funded by North Devon Council. Other funders included Barnstaple Town Council, Rock Park Sk8 Committee and the Bridge Trust.
