The Parks unit aims to achieve an efficient service to provide allotment facilities on Council owned allotment sites, maximising available allotment plots and maintaining sites to a high standard both by direct control and via management by other agency bodies.
The Parks unit owns and directly controls an allotment site at Mill Road, Barnstaple and Jubilee Gardens, North Molton.
Barnstaple Town Council own and control all other allotment sites within Barnstaple and can be contacted on 01271 373311.
The Ilfracombe Allotment Association control our allotment sites within Ilfracombe and the Secretary Mike Creek can be contacted on 01271 866211.
We can also put you in touch with the local town and parish councils who may also run facilities that you can rent.
The South West Counties Allotment Association (SWCAA)
provides advice and information on allotment and leisure gardening.
Although based in the south west and a lot of the information is south west based, SWCAA aim to cover
the whole of the UK and Wales to offer support to anyone who needs it.
