
Commercial Conversion Assistance
Purpose
To increase the supply of accommodation available for rent by enabling redundant or void non-residential accommodation to be converted for residential use.
Eligibility
All non-residential property capable of providing satisfactory living accommodation subject to any necessary Planning consents and Building Regulation Approval.
Eligible Works
All works necessary to provide self-contained units of accommodation complying fully with current Building Regulations.
The Assistance
Owners:
50% of the cost of eligible works subject to a maximum grant of £12,000 per unit of accommodation provided and accompanied by a 5 year availability for letting condition
OR
75% of the cost of eligible works subject to a maximum grant of £12,000 per unit of accommodation provided and accompanied by a 10 year availability for letting condition.
