Housing and council tax benefit

People who have to pay rent and/or council tax can claim benefit. You may qualify if you are on income support or a low income. Application forms are available from Lynton House, Citizens Advice, NDC's Housing Advice centre and libraries. You can download a form from the link below or fill in our form to request one and we will send it to you.

If you have a change in your work pattern or if you have been signed off sick, you may be entitled to claim other benefits. Each case will be looked at individually. The reception desk at Lynton House is open Monday to Friday between 8.45 am and 4.00 pm. The Ilfracombe centre is open Monday to Friday between 9.00 am and 5.00 pm. The South Molton community office is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday between 8.30 am and 4.30 pm, and Wednesdays between 8.30 am and 12.30 pm.
