North Devon Food Forum

The North Devon Food Forum was set up on 23 March 2006, with the following objectives:
  • to provide a forum for dialogue between NDC’s Environmental Health service and local food operators
  • to explore how we can work together to improve standards of hygiene and profitability and thereby the local economy
  • to listen to traders’ views and concerns
  • to communicate areas of concern of a general nature
  • to identify ways we can improve the services we deliver
  • to identify needs of the local food industry that need addressing (not necessarily by North Devon Council)
  • to identify and address any inequality of service delivery

Membership of the forum is intended to be representative of a wide spectrum of food operators within North Devon district, including:
  • manufacturers
  • producers
