An interface to view planning application details is available using the Online Planning Service
browser, which is updated throughout the day. For help with searching
the database, a link to guidance notes is available on both the 'Welcome' and 'Search' screens.
Planning Applications Received (Week Commencing ...)
Open the Online Planning Service
browser and select 'View the most recent Weekly Lists of Applications received' to display last three weeks lists of applications reported as registered valid.
List of Current Planning Appeals
Open the Online Planning Service
browser to select 'Search & View Current Appeals' under 'Quick Search' heading for current appeals.
Planning Applications Determined (Week Ending ...)
1. Summary Report
Open the Online Planning Service
browser and select 'View the most recent Weekly list of Decisions made'
under 'Quick Search' heading to display the last three weeks lists of determined applications. For other periods, open 'Search'
screen and enter date parameters as required.
2. Detailed Report
Open the Online Planning Service
browser to search for determined application records as required and click on 'Decision Notice Summary' button found on Details and Full Details screens to view details of conditions and/or reasons for decision.
Planning Applications Determined Archive
Use the Online Planning Service
browser and select “Search”
on “Welcome” page.
Anyone wishing to comment on any of the applications listed in the Planning Applications Received reports should write to the Planning Manager, North Devon Council, Civic Centre, Barnstaple, Devon EX31 1EA, within 14 days from the date of publication of the notice, or 21 days if affecting a Listed Building/ Conservation Area. Alternatively you may comment online using the Online Planning Service.
Locate appropriate application and click on 'Comment' button where displayed.
In all correspondence, please quote the application site and reference number. If commenting online or by e-mail, please also supply a postal address.
N.B. We wish to draw to your attention that letters of representation are open to public inspection five clear days before committee and that letters of representation concerning County Applications should be sent direct to Devon County Council, 5th Floor, Civic Centre, Barnstaple and letters concerning Exmoor National Park Applications should be sent direct to Exmoor National Park, Exmoor House, Dulverton, Somerset. In order to assist prospective applicants for planning permission the Council encourages the informal discussion of proposals prior to the submission of applications.
Plans relating to any application may also be inspected at the Planning Unit during the hours of 9.00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday to Friday. South Molton Area applications may be viewed at the South Molton Community Office on a Thursday morning on request provided 48 hours notice is given by telephoning 01769 573302 and Ilfracombe Area applications may be viewed at the Ilfracombe Community Office on a Tuesday between 10:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m., providing notice is given by the end of the preceding Friday (telephone number 01271 863601).
