Community Resources Group

Community Resources group are a group of adults with learning and some physical disabilities.  With the support of care workers and supervisors, this group carries out basic horticultural and general tasks on parks and open spaces under the ownership of North Devon Council Parks and Amenities Department.  Duties generally include litter picking, hedge trimming, clearance work, painting step edges, planting up shrubs and bedding plants, cleaning and re-staining of seats, benches and shelters.

The group meet once or twice a week subject to weather conditions between around 9.30am and 12.30pm.  The parks department supplies tools, equipment and other materials to the group and makes a donation every quarter in appreciation for the work carried out.
