Environmental health

Environmental health covers a range of services that North Devon Council provides improving people's health and quality of life. These services help to make sure that the food people eat is safe, the air they breathe is clean and their workplaces are safe.

Our Environmental Health and Housing service also deals with licensing and housing issues.

Rubbish and waste

North Devon Council is responsible for rubbish collection and the recycling service. We are working to increase the proportion of waste that is recycled.

Street cleaning

North Devon Council is responsible for keeping the road and pavements clear of general litter.
