If you would like to receive an email notifying you of updates to the election diary please send your email address to us via this email: elections@northdevon.gov.uk with a short appropriate message. Please be advised that some internet service providers (ISP) block mailings that appear to be sent to many addresses. Applications to be included on the register of electors to be used at this election MUST reach us by 6 May 2014.

Absent Voting

Any elector may apply for a postal or proxy vote at this election.  Applications to vote by post or by postal proxy MUST reach us by 17:00 on 7 May 2014. Applications to vote by proxy MUST reach us by 17:00 on 14 May 2014.

A person can apply to vote by ‘emergency’ proxy if they learn they cannot go to the polling station because of their occupation, service or employment, or a medical condition, illness or disability arises after 17:00 on 14 May 2014. The application MUST reach us by 17:00 on the date of the poll.

Applications to cancel or alter existing postal and proxy votes or to change from postal to proxy voting MUST reach us by 17:00 on 7 May 2014.

An election to fill the vacancy will be held if by the 14 May 2014 notice in writing of a request for such an election is given to the Returning Officer, Room 313, North Devon District Council, Civic Centre, Barnstaple, EX31 1EA by ten electors of the Parish.
