National standard application form

1APP, the National standard planning application form came into force on 6 April 2008. It supersedes all other planning application forms from that date. No other type of application form will be accepted by the council.

What is 1APP?

The National standard planning application form, or 1APP as it is known, is the latest step in the government’s campaign to streamline the planning system. To make life easier for applicants the government has introduced a single set of standard forms for England. The new form provides a consistent format and set of questions. It helps to make the process of applying for planning permission more straightforward for applicants. It helps to deliver greater transparency, consistency and efficiency in the planning system.
