North Devon Show
Each year North Devon Council attend the North Devon Show which allows representatives from the Customer Service Centre to promote the services we offer across our three sites. In addition, in 2011, we took the opportunity to speak to local people visiting the show and ask them about what they felt about North Devon Council.

Find your nearest
As the key link to customers the Customer Service Centre is the main drive for development of the "find your nearest" mapping tool. We are working internally and externally to provide as much information as possible about your area, from land ownership to grass cutting schedules. Since April 2009, the Customer Service Centre has been carrying out a rolling review (pdf 31.6KB)Advisor feedback survey
In order to understand if staff feel valued and how they feel in relation to their roles, their department and the council as a whole we devised a questionnaire. This was completed anonymously by the frontline staff within the Customer Service Centre during July 2010.See the advisor feedback survey results (pdf 136 kB)
Abandoned call rate review
We undertook some analysis in relation to our abandoned call rate (Word 96KB)
Mobile library initiative
From May to August 2009 the North Devon Council Customer Service Centre completed a consultation with residents across North Devon on the mobile library.

Lunchtime analysis
We undertook some analysis in the telephone centre regarding lunchtime enquiries, to see if there was a pattern to busy times to ensure we have more advisors taking calls.

Events
The Customer Service Centre carry out events across North Devon to keep in touch with customer needs and be involved in our local community.
2012 Race for Life
On 8th July a member of the Customer Service Centre undertook the Race for Life and raised £20 in aid of Cancer Research. The day involved a 5k race through Rock Park in Barnstaple.
2012 Coast to Coast Cycling Event
The Customer Service Centre held a raffle to support the Coast to Coast cycling event. We had two riders taking part this year riding 75 miles from Looe to Barnstaple. £230.00 was raised for The North Devon Hospice.
2012 Star Trek
In March the Customer Service Centre raised around £350 for the Children's Hospice South West, The North Devon Hospice and the Chemotherapy Appeal by taking part in the Star Trek Challenge. The team navigated 16 miles over Exmoor throughout the night in aid of these charities.2011 Nightwalk
In June the Customer Service Centre raised £73.00 for The Macmillan Cancer Support and North Devon Hospice by taking part in the Nightwalk from Braunton to Barnstaple.
2011 North Devon Show

2010 Wear it Pink Day
On 29th November the Customer Service Centre dressed in pink and sold cakes on behalf of Breast Cancer Campaign raising £57.05.Contact information
