How to make payments on the web

1. At the North Devon Council website select ‘Make a Payment’

2. The welcome page details the card charges for using a credit card and also informs you of the types of cards that can’t be accepted by this payment site.

3. Please select the fund you wish to pay against from the drop down menu i.e. pay your Council Tax bill

4. Next, enter your NDDC account or invoice number.

5. The account number against which you are making the payment, e.g. your council tax reference number. Please see table below for more guidance:

6. Enter the amount you wish to pay in pounds and pence i.e. 100.00 is one hundred pounds. Do not enter a pound sign (£). Please note that payments by credit card will attract a 1.5% fee.

7. To confirm and proceed with your payment you must click the add button. At this stage you could go back and enter a second payment if required.

8. Once you have pressed add, the amount shown here will be the total deducted from your credit/debit card.

9. Enter the card type against which you want to make the payment from the drop down list.  Please note that we are unable to accept payments by American Express, Diners Club, JCB credit cards or Electron debit cards.

10. Enter your card number. This is the long number shown on the front of your card. Please enter without any spaces.

11. The issue number is shown on the front of some cards as a 1 or 2 digit figure e.g. 1 or 01. Please enter as shown on your card.

12. Issue and expiry dates are shown on the front of some cards. Enter the month and year from the drop down options.

13. Finally, complete your personal details and press the ‘Accept’ button on the bottom of the screen to submit the payment. You should then be issued with an online receipt, which you can print or email.

14. The transaction number should be quoted on any future correspondence regarding this payment.
