Public inspection of accounts

Residents have the right to inspect our detailed financial accounts, ledgers and records.

The audit of our accounts for the year ended 31 March 2012 and the statement of accounts are available for inspection.

We also publish all individual items of expenditure £250 and over.

These reports show how well the council has been doing in both operational terms (performance indicators) and financially (in terms of meeting our budget).

Local Government Ombudsman feedback

The Local Government Ombudsman investigates complaints against council decisions that cannot be resolved through the council's complaints procedure. The ombudsman prepares annual reports on complaints arising.
