Community Councillor Grants
The District Council’s grants scheme aims to offer support to organisations and projects that are of direct benefit to the people, the environment and the community of the North Devon District.
Grants may be awarded to projects or services which benefit a smaller area or a specific community. Each District Councillor had £1500 (2007/08) and £2000 (2008/09) for projects within their electoral ward.

Awarded the following grants:
- Age Concern, Ilfracombe & District - £500 towards annual running costs
Budget carried forward from 2008/2009 to 2009/2010 = £3000.00
Grants in 2009/2010
New budget for 2009/2010 = £4500
Awarded the following grants in 2009/2010:
- Ilfracombe In Bloom - £300 towards the cost of floral displays
- Sea Ilfracombe - £200 towards the cost of the maritime event.
Remaining budget for 2009/2010 = £4000.00
