On 2nd December 2003, the Employment Equality (Religion and Belief) Regulations came into effect. The aim of the Regulations is to eliminate unfair discrimination based on religion or belief in employment and training.
The Equality Act 2006 has granted new powers that will make it unlawful (subject to certain exemptions) to discriminate on the grounds of religion or belief in the following areas:
