Community Councillor Grants
The North Devon Council’s grants scheme aims to offer support to organisations and projects that are of direct benefit to the people, the environment and the community of the North Devon District.
Grants may be awarded to projects or services which benefit a smaller area or a specific community. Each District Councillor had £1500 in 2007/08, £2000 in 2008/09, £1500 in 2009/2010 and £1000 in 2010/2011 for projects within their electoral ward.

- Barnstaple Carnival - £40 towards the cost of portaloos and a P A system for the carnival.
- Barnstaple Town Centre Management - £100 towards the cost of the 2009 winter festival.
- Step-By-Step Community Group - £200 towards annual running costs.
- Barnstaple Squadron Air Training Corps - £150 toward the cost of a back projection system for the squadron flight simulator
- Forget-Me-Not Project - £322.49 toward the cost of day trips for residents
- Freedom Social Projects - £500 toward extending the CCTV at the Freedom Centre
- See Hear Centre - £85 toward the cost of Deaf Awareness week in 2010
