Community Councillor Grants
North Devon Council’s grants scheme aims to offer support to organisations and projects that are of direct benefit to the people, the environment and the community of the North Devon district.
Grants may be awarded to projects or services which benefit a smaller area or a specific community. Each district councillor had £1500 (in 2007-2008) and has £2000 (in 2008-2009) for projects within their electoral ward.
We will consider grant applications for projects or services that fall under the following headings:

Grants are awarded
to voluntary and community organisations with not for profit aims.

We require a number of additional documents to be submitted with your application form:
- your organisation’s constitution/memorandum and articles of association (or the equivalent)
- your organisation’s latest accounts (these must be independently signed)
- your organisation’s equal opportunities policy
- a list of your organisation’s trustees and officers
- quotation
Please note that
funding for the following will not be considered:
- donations
- projects which cover an area which is the primary responsibility of another funding agency
- double funding from NDC sources
- out of area activities
- fundraising events
- projects which promote religious belief
- twinning
- civic events
- memorials
- retrospective funding
