The Economic Development Service

The service aims to develop, implement, integrate and monitor the council’s role in the development of a healthy economy for North Devon.

Specific services:

Business advice, and assistance to council departments and other bodies
Co-ordinating, developing and/or supporting funding bids for capital and revenue funding from European and other sources
Lobbying and partnership work with local, county and regional based organisations
Handling inward investment enquiries
Developing and managing specific projects in accordance with the North-West Devon Economic Partnership Strategy
Strategy development and key sector support
Assist with integrating business advice and support with the other main business support agencies
Recommending rate relief to starter and small businesses

We provide this support either directly or more usually in partnership with a number of key agencies which we assist with core funding.
