The Building Control Service
Building owners have to carry out work in a manner that conforms with the requirements set out in both the Building Act and Building Regulations.
These requirements are made in the interest of public health, safety, welfare, convenience and for the conservation of energy.
The Council’s Building Control Service can help the owner achieve the required standards by being a source of advice, checking plans and inspection of building work.
The service is Quality Assured to ISO9002.
