140 requests for information were received between 1 April and 30 June 2016.  Of those requests:


  • 137 were answered within the 20 working day statutory time limit of 20 working days
  • 80 were granted in full (no exemption or exception was applied)
  • required clarification/further information from the applicants, of which no response was received, therefore the request was closed and no further action taken
  • requests were submitted and then later withdrawn by the applicants
  • 16 requests were received, and then, upon further research, transferred/referred (some in part) to other local authorities/external organisations
  • 22 were partially withheld/refused (some of the information was subject to an exemption or exception)
  • 29 were fully withheld/refused (all of the requested information was subject to exemption or exception)
  • 39 were responded to in full or part in accordance with the Environmental Information Regulations 2004 (EIR)


During this quarter, the average number of days that it took to respond to a request was 6 working days
