Travel in North Devon
Go North Devon’s Shopmobility service
The Shopmobility service is starting again on 6 July on an appointment system, with new opening times and procedures that will ensure the absolute safety of their clients, staff and volunteers.
Shopmobility provides the hire of wheelchairs and scooters for those who have mobility problems and who wish to independently access Barnstaple town centre facilities for a few hours or to hire portable equipment for a longer period of time. The service is available on an appointment system only, Monday to Friday 09.15 to 14.30 until further notice.
Due to social distancing measures there will be no access to the reception area, and all equipment will be brought out to clients under the canopy or to the carpark, depending on client preference.
A full list of their new operating procedures can be found on their website www.gonorthdevon.co.uk, or for further information telephone on 01271 328866.
